The catrina doesn’t dress, she goes on bones. Just her head is accompanied by a series of flowers to symbolise her eyes and her smile. Proof of empathy and sarcasm at the same time, it simply mocks whoever sees her.

Inspiration that is born from my own roots and mexican traditions. Just like his emphasis on the world of the death, the catrina reminds us why death is friendly.

Her eyes show profoundness. They are a mirror for her spectators. Each one of them will see something of themselves. For me they are a reflection of death which I carry inside, when I smile at them and let the pain go away. A feeling adopted with pleasure.
